Marketing Assistant

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) is in search of a Marketing Assistant. NACWA is a major non-profit environmental advocacy organization representing the views and perspectives of America’s publicly owned clean water utilities. The Association’s members are dedicated public servants and true environmental stewards. This is a temporary, part-time position or a possible internship for a college student.

 

The Marketing Assistant will perform administrative support duties for NACWA's marketing and communications (MarCom) team.


Position Responsibilities

Email Marketing

  • Design/edit e-flyer templates in email marketing platform (Higher Logic) and input drafted copy.
  • Search and download applicable graphics for marketing messages.
  • Distribute e-flyers and newsletters for review and complete requested edits.
  • Work with Director of Marketing and Database Manager to perform list segmentation as requested.

Social Media

  • Monitor social media accounts of members and identify posts NACWA should engage with.
  • Research sector influencers and identify hashtags or keywords to incorporate in social media campaigns.
  • Work with Lead Graphic Designer to create sharables for events, holidays, etc.

Website

  • Explore NACWA’s website and search for broken/incorrect links, outdated items, and correct sponsor/event logos.
  • Assist with updating the website to meet ADA compliance.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of college courses or Associates degree in Marketing or Business Administration or related field required
  • One year of administrative experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and HTML required
  • Experienced in any email marketing platform required. Higher Logic knowledge a plus

This is hourly, part-time, temporary position is not eligible for benefits. No out-of-town, overnight travel is required for this position. The hourly rate is $25 per hour.

 

Due the status of the pandemic, the start of this position may initially include telecommuting, but will ultimately become a non-telecommuting position.
